ELM covers relevant and up-to-date topics

On our website, we publish articles on a rolling basis. This approach allows us to flexibly cover relevant and timely topics and phenomena – and to best serve our readers.

In addition, we work with seasonal themes, while a wide range of current topics is published each season beyond these themes.

Articles in four categories

Articles will be placed under four categories where you can easily find them based on your interests. In the category of ‘Learning & teaching,’ you’ll find articles on good practices, benefits and challenges of adult education and lifelong learning. Articles also cover questions of global societal phenomena and how they link to lifelong learning.

In ‘World of research,’ ELM opens a window onto the latest in research by interviewing researchers and discussing research in an understandable, accessible way.

Articles in the ‘Policy Perspectives’ category, in turn, feature interviews with experts and leaders in the adult learning sector.

In the category of ‘Opinion’ thought-provoking columns approach current issues from an interesting and personal point of view. All articles can also be searched with the help of key words, tags.

Theme issues 2017-2023

The previous theme issues, from Sustainable Future (3/2023) back to New Forms of Citizenship (1/2017) are still available in a separate section of the site.

Tags help you to find articles
