Michael Gold has worked in journalism, local government and universities. Having covered industrial relations for almost ten years as a journalist, he moved to the University of Westminster and then to Royal Holloway University of London, where he is now Professor of Comparative Employment Relations. He was also a councillor in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames for eight years.
