Competencies in later life
PIAAC is limited in ignoring older generations. A German study CiLL analyses seniors' skills. Findings point to underused potential of seniors.
Dr. Jens Friebe is a researcher at the German Institute for Adult Education, Leibniz Centre for Lifelong Learning (DIE) and member of the department “Inclusion through Adult Education”. His main areas of research are intercultural further education and Lifelong Learning/learning in later life. At the DIE he has conducted projects such as: Intercultural further education for health professionals, Further education for nurses for the elderly with migration background, and since 2010 the project Competencies in Later Life.
