Kerstin Schmitz is a master's degree student at the University Duisburg-Essen in the program European Adult Education. She was an intern at the DIE, Vox and the European Service Office of Central Thuringia. Her research interests are in the field of competence assessment and the transition from school to work. Currently she is finishing her thesis on the transnational adaptation of competence assessment.In 2012, she actively participated in the organization and execution of the study visit „Best practice of vocational preparation in a European context”.
