Erik Nylander

Erik Nylander is a postdoctoral fellow at the division for education and adult learning at Linköpings university. Sweden, His research interest concerns the relationship between social origins, education and work. In his PhD thesis, he studied the role of Swedish ‘folk high schools’ in the selection and valuation of Swedish music, particularly jazz. Nylander is the co-founder and editor of Confero: Essays on Education, Philosophy and Politics and has recently published articles in British Journal of Sociology of Education and Poetics. Contact:
