Building bridges in ex-Yugoslavian adult education

Darijan Novak has spent over 20 years in different education roles in education, 15 years of which at the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE). He has taken part in various projects on non-formal and informal learning, enlarging his “scope of understanding what education is, but more importantly what it could be.” The most important themes he has dealt with were enhancing reading habits in study circles, offering language learning to marginalised groups and searching for most convenient and effective intervention strategies for tolerant and inclusive approaches to governance and active citizenship. Lately he has devoted his time to promotion of lifelong learning and media education, concentrating on e-learning and usage of multimedia, especially educational video. Contact: email@example.com
